We had our auditions for SYF today and I learnt a lot from my instructor, Ernest. A lot of people over-memorized their monologue and in turn, forgot their lines. Meanwhile some focused too much on each and every line, so much so that they forgot all about putting their feelings into the lines. This set me pondering.
Many atimes, we focus so much on letting something to rise politically and in strength that we totally neglect the well being of each and every member. Likewise, we always focus on what appears to be good--not forgetting your lines, but in turn, you left out the most important thing of acting--the emotions, the most important thing within a group--the bonding. I'm just voicing some views of my own, no offence to anyone, but to me, whether a group is strong politically is not important. To me, what matters most in a group is the spiritual bonding as well as the friendship, it's them that keeps the group together, and eventually bring the group to rise. Slow, but powerful.
Just something random, oh well. bye!
